How Jen of Seattle Green Cleaner got her life back.

18 months ago Seattle Green Cleaner, a local house cleaning company owned by Jen Troyer, was a one person  cleaning crew.  Today she has 7 full time employees, is no longer cleaning houses herself, and is expanding while maintaining her great quality of service.  That type of growth was only possible by Jen working tirelessly day and night.   But with each hire came more time needed for giving cleaning quotes, scheduling, payroll/mileage calculation, and other day to day operations.  She didn’t have much time for big picture activities such as marketing, company structure, and accounting.   After seeing her work 16 hour days I new something had to change.  We started to refine her methodologies and leveraged technology to solve some issues.   Scheduling move from Excel to Google Calendars accessible by company phones.  Accounting moved from Excel to Quickbooks.  We create Google Documents for company manuals and training material.  Google maps took care of mileage calculation.  We created a satisfaction survey on her website.  And finally, the biggest contributor to her success was some search engine optimization and a terrific Quote Form.  After a few months of tweaking the SEO her site she began to consistently show up in the top 10 for the keywords we targeted.  In addition, over 80% of new clients came from users searching for a cleaner on the web.  Some of these came from review websites like Yelp, Angieslist, and Google Places.  She has great reviews from her customers on these websites and that really helps.  Today Seattle Green Cleaner is one of the most successful (and highest rated) Green cleaning company in the Greater Seattle Area.   Its nice when I see a local company succeed as much as she has.
